Indoor Rock Climbing Patch
This is an innovative program designed to introduce Boy Scouts to basic rock climbing.
The program is taught by Solid Rock's highly trained instructors, all of whom have
honed their rock climbing skills on real rock in outdoor experiences. Scouts will
learn how to use our climbing equipment, learn climbing commands and the necessity
of communication while climbing. The Scouts will also get to boulder and top rope.
This program is taught in a single two-hour session. Upon completion, the
participants will receive their very own embroidered INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING PATCH.
COST: $15 per scout + nontransferable $50 deposit at the time of the reservation.
(minimum 6 participants)
Boy Scout Merit Badge Program
This program emphasizes safety. Our superb program, facilities, and
professional instructors are "Climb-on-safely" trained and certified.
Our professional instructors teach and explain safety, climbing history,
types of climbing, climbing equipment, climbing knots, teamwork needed to
climb successfully, climbing techniques, rappelling, and much more.
Participants will learn all information over the course of two seperate
two-hour sessions, for a total of four hours.
COST: $15 per session/per scout + nontransferable $50 deposit per
session at the time of the reservation. (minimum 8 participants)
Girl Scouts

Adventure Sports Badge
This is a challenging program specifically designed to meet the
requirements of the Girl Scouts Adventure Sports Badge.
Our professional instructors teach and explain climbing safety, climbing
history, climbing knots, climbing enviornments, team work needed to climb successfully,
climbing techniques, rappelling, and much more. Your Scouts will boulder, top
rope, and complete a challenging obstacle course.
This program is taught in two, two-hour sessions. Upon completion, the
participants will receive their very own embroidered INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING
PATCH and will have proudly earned their ADVENTURE SPORTS BADGE.
COST: $15 per session/per scout + nontransferable $50 deposit per
session at the time of the reservation. (minimum 8 participants)
Solid Rock Birthday Packages
Solid Rock is a fun place for anyone's birthday or gathering. Everyone
will enjoy this special day! Packages are two and one-half hours and include:
two hours of climb time (where your group will be directly supervised by a
dedicated instructor), rental gear and 1/2 hour use of our party area.
Reservations are mandatory so call early to reserve your time!

Things to Know
- Parties must have at least ONE ADULT per TWO CLIMBERS UNDER 10yrs old.
- We provide a solid colored plastic table cloth, tables, chairs, and a refrigerator.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks (please no glass containers or alcohol).
Most of the parties bring a cake and drinks, and then order pizzas to the gym.
You can call from the gym for your pizza on the day of your party.
Deposit Policy
- Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, however they are transferable.
- 100% transferable if the date or time is changed or the group cancelled 21 days before the date of the originally scheduled group.
- 50% transferable if the date or time is changed or the group is cancelled 10-20 days before the date of the originally scheduled group
- Deposit is not transferable if the date or time is changed or the group cancelled less than 10 days before the date of the originally scheduled group
We ask AT LEAST A WEEK'S NOTICE to ensure your chosen time and date.
However, we will do our best to accommodate any "late bookings" (those under
a week's notice). Please keep in mind that our weekends book-up especially
fast so plan early.
Solid Rock's Summer Teen Climbing Camps
This summer, Solid Rock is offering a unique, exciting and challenging teen
climbing program. Our program requires hard, physical effort and intense, mental
focus as the teen climber ascends beyond self-imposed limits and reaches new heights.
Our special five-day program, Monday through Friday (9:00 to 1:00), is open to teens only.
NO CLIMBING EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED!
The day begins with an hour of physical conditioning (such as yoga, stretch,
light weight training, balance and strength exercises). Next, climbers will
learn how to boulder and top rope and, by the end of the week, be introduced
to lead climbing (all done in the safety of our gym)! The climbers will also
learn how to slack line.
Bouldering is climbing close to the ground where a safety rope and hardware
are not needed; instead, a "spotter" and pads are used to protect the climbers.
The climbers will learn balance and climbing techniques and develop endurance and
strength.
Top roping is climbing while harnessed to a rope that is attached to anchors
above the climber's intended route. The climber ascends while his partner
(called a belayer) takes up the slack in the rope. The belayer and climber are
always communicating and working as a team.
Finally, after strength and endurance are built up and confidence and skill
level are achieved, our climbers will be introduced to lead climbing! Lead climbing
is climbing while harnessed to a rope - just like top roping - except that the
CLIMBERS place the anchors as they climb. In our program, the climber will be
harnessed to a top rope with a belayer (for safety reasons) while simultaneously
ascending and clipping their own anchors. Climbers will safely experience the
excitement of lead climbing while learning proper techniques of lead clipping and
belayers will learn the proper techniques of a lead belay.
The cost for this unique week of climbing is only $260. Each climber will
receive 4 hours of daily instruction, a SolidRock T-shirt, and a BRAND NEW PAIR
OF CLIMBING SHOES. The maximum number of climbers per program is 12; the minimum is
4 (if fewer then 4 sign up, the program for that week will be canceled). A $100
non-refundable deposit (unless camp is canceled) is required at sign-up.
